About Us
The AUB Secular Club is an independent political student organization that struggles for a secular, democratic, equal, and meritocratic society. We work to practice these politics in our daily activities and interactions among each other, and as members of society at large.
The Club was created in 2008 by a group of students inspired by the secular values of the university itself, in order to carve a context conducive to social change in AUB. Since then, the Club has played an active role in challenging the current political status quo through its actions and events both on and off campus.The Secular Club is officially recognized by the American University of Beirut.
